<p>But driving around in our cars hunting for a good restaurant or gathering food off of shelves in a grocery store doesn&#8217;t expend a lot of energy. Therefore we have a problem.</p>
<p>One of the other problems that early man had to contend with was famine. Climate changes and animal migrations would cause vast disruptions in food sources. That&#8217;s why our bodies store energy in the form of fat. To get us through lean times.</p>
<p>Fortunately, today we don&#8217;t expend much energy in hunting or gathering our food and we don&#8217;t experience famines.</p>
<p>The food that is available to most people today is not only high in energy content, but also very tasty. It is this abundance of great tasting food, acquired with very little energy output, that causes people to be overweight.</p>
<p>So what do we do about it? One solution is to move to one of those areas of the world where famine still exists and people regularly go without enough to eat. We see pictures of these unfortunate people on TV from time to time, mostly in advertisements asking for donations.</p>
<p>You may wish to lose weight, but I&#8217;m pretty sure you don&#8217;t want to go to that extreme.</p>
<p>In our modern society we have found solutions for a great many things, and keeping our bodies in good shape is one of them. We can borrow some ideas from our hunter gatherer fore bearers. But we can do it in such a way that we can enjoy today&#8217;s surplus of food.</p>

<p>2. Truncate your rest periods: By truncating, or reducing your rest periods, you will prevent your muscles from fully recovering in between exercises. This will stress them to a further degree and get you better results.</p>
<p>3. Experiment with back to back sets: Back to back sets involve doing one exercise immediately after another without any rest in between. By doing this, you are working more muscle mass per unit of time and also reducing total time under rest.</p>
<p>4. Go half way: Once you have completely exhausted a muscle during a given exercise, keep on going, but only go half way. This will allow you to squeeze out a couple more repetitions before having to stop. And this is a great way to get great results.</p>
<p>5. Forcefully contract the muscle: Practice contracting the muscle towards the end of each exercise movement. Doing so will allow your nervous system to do a better job at activating the right muscles at the right time.</p>

<p>Finding the time to exercise is the hardest part. This will become extremely hard if you are not committed to it. Do not force yourself to just start working out. Before everything else, ask yourself first what is your reason for wanting to work out. If the reason is shallow like impressing a girl, you might find yourself not as motivated as you should be. However, if the reason is to get back at a bully who embarrassed you, you will definitely put all your effort into working out.</p>
<p>Do not force yourself to exercise by P90x. As what we always have done, usually, before we start with something; ask yourself the reason. Why you want to use P90x. if the reason is shallow like impressing a girl, you might find yourself not as motivated as you should be. However, if your reasons are strengthening your body and keeping healthy, you will definitely become very motivated to exercise. So, before you are using P90x, make clear what your reason is, and then you can be more motivated.</p>
<p>And also, you can ask for competition. Take the using of P90x as a competition. Invite your friends or families to take part in this exercising. Tell them that you want to have a friendly competition where the winner is the one who loses weight or gains the most muscles in the planned time. But you should make sure that no harms will be made to your friends and families when you are using P90x because of competition. Additionally, you can place a little money to bet who will win. Of course, money is not the point of this competition, but rather the results of your exercise.</p>
<p>However, if you fail to find a friend or family, the best way to motivate you to use P90x is to find a model that has a wonderful body shape such as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He obviously has done much exercising to attain that body of his. After he succeeds to build up his body shape, he even becomes very famous in movies and politics.</p>
<p>Motivation and inspiration work hand in hand. We need both of these to be successful in any P90x we attempt. There are petty reasons that could motivate us but we need a huge goal in order to fully concentrate on it.</p>
