Americans are becoming more obese every day. People are so busy utilized to they are not focusing on their potential health problems. They wait for something to happen instead of trying to prevent it. This mindset combined with the way our country is structured, is leading America to becoming to fattest country on the planet. We’ve pretty much already accomplished that, but things are getting worse. The death rates for heart disease are rising and they’ve already been the top killer for years.

You need to understand the health risks associated with being overweight and obese. Males and females store their fat differently. They each have a different pattern that their bodies follow and depending on where they are in that pattern, it could mean serious health risks. When fat is stored primarily in the stomach area, you will find there’s much higher risk for disease then for someone who carries their weight more evenly and distributed. Unfortunately the most typical thing we see is extra weight stored above and below the waistline, where it does the most damage.

The bodies of males and females work differently. For many different reasons, people store weight around the body, when they initially begin to gain extra weight. If we look at an overweight man, we typically see his extra weight being carried above the waist, resembling an apple. If we look at an overweight woman, we typically see her extra weight being stored below the waist, in the hips and buttocks. This resembles a pear shape.

Once someone goes from being overweight to obese, the fat pattern we see in overweight people reverses. An obese man will have a large stomach, but will also start storing weight in the hips and buttocks. Obese women will begin to store weight in the stomach area, along with the hips and buttock. Women will then start to fight the apple shape of the overweight man. Once we are up to now, health risks start to mount. This reverse fat pattern symbolizes the move towards many serious health risks and must be halted.

As well as looked to see where you carry your weight? It helps to put on a swim suit and stand looking at a mirror. Do a quick inspection of your abdominal area and below the waist. Be honest with the product in question. Is it evenly distributed? Are you experiencing a pear or an apple shape? Have you already crossed over to the higher risk obesity area? If you are very overweight and even obese, you could be suffering from not enough exercise or a slower metabolism. Do not despair, because it’s not too late.

You should start on a routine which will increase your metabolism and sweat off those extra. By keeping consistent and working hard, you can lower your weight and get healthier. You simply must start on a diet and do regular workouts everyday. Depending on how much you weight, you may want to be more aggressive. You need to start now before your health risks get to an uncontrollable point.
