How to Get Six Pack Abs and Lose Stubborn Belly Fat

Posted by admin on July 5th, 2011 and filed under six pack abs | Comments Off

Having six pack abs is every man’s dream but the dream is difficult to turn to reality unless you have a strong will and are adequately motivated to achieve your ambition. So the answer to the question: how to get six pack abs is easy to answer – it lies within you and your determination.

However difficult it might be, it must be said that getting six pack abs is not completely impossible, provided you back up your nutritional intake with the right types of six pack abs workouts. Given below is a simple and generalized guide which needs to be followed diligently for a minimum 3 months to get visible results:

The right nutrition: This is perhaps the most important part of getting started with your program on how to get six pack abs. you might have the greatest looking abs but if it is layered with fat, it would hardly be visible. When you are seeking answers to how to get six pack abs, this could be a great deterrent.

The recommended diet is to break your daily food intake into 5 or 6 smaller meals rather than 3 big meals. Completely do away with foods which create that layer of fat on your abs like white bread, pasta, soda, candy, dessert, fast food, hydrogenated oils and sugars. Switch to healthier foods like oatmeal, whole grain breads, nuts, fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, chicken, fish, protein, green tea and take plenty of water. Though it is natural to be swayed by temptation, but your strong will would come a lot into play during this change over of eating habits if you want to get six pack abs.

The essential exercises which belong to the six pack abs workout package should include
cardio, weight lifting as well as specific abdominal exercises. The six pack abs workout should be done at least 4 times a week. While walking, running, cycling, swimming etc all belong to the cardio work out schedule, the trick is to do them in ‘bursts’.

For instance, if you walk for a minute, then run for about 15 minutes and you could repeat this 10 times. This type of cardio workout should be done twice a week. Weightlifting is important to be included in the six pack abs workout program. Try to do this for 30 to 45 minutes, twice a week. This workout schedule should be combined with specific ab exercises to make the six pack abs workout complete.

You might have heard that all six pack abs workouts involve crunches and sit ups. But there are some other specific exercises, which if done consistently can result in the desired effect. Here are some simple points to remember while you are focusing on six pack abs workouts:

- Irrespective of what type of abs workouts you do remember to do them in rotation for at least thrice a week. It is important to remember not to over do this however much you might be motivated. Each of these sessions should not be more than 20 minutes which means that you are devoting about an hour a week exclusively for your abs workouts.

- During each of these 3 or 4 sessions a week, remember that you are doing no less than 15 but not more than 20 repetitions per set. This means that in the 20-minute abs work out session, you must try to include sets of 15 or 20 repetitions. Take it easy while you are doing the six pack abs workouts, or you run the risk of pulling muscle, etc.

- Last but never the least important point to remember in your six pack abs workouts is that you should never over do any exercise even if you have the requisite energy for doing it. it is necessary for you to know that to get six pack abs it takes a little time and you can not achieve this in a hurry, however hard you try.

While you won’t lose stubborn belly fat and get six pack abs overnight, consistent workouts and a healthy diet can help you achieve that goal.

How to Lose Your Love Handles And Get Six Pack Abs

Posted by admin on July 3rd, 2011 and filed under six pack abs | Comments Off

Ok in this article I want to show you how to lose fat around the midsection and at least the truth behind it all!

You see, fast abs program at  http://www.how-to-get-six-pack-abs.com/ will tone up your abs and give you  six pack abs , but there are other things you need to be aware off- all of which are covered in the fast abs program!

So here I am going to tell you how to ….my greatest annoyance are articles that allegedly tell people how to lose weight and get pack abs but the techniques are next to useless.

I’m sure you’ve seen the images of a guy holding a broom handle or light barbell over his shoulders and twisting his torso from left to right as a means to lose his love handles. A waste of time! Or holding a dumbbell in each hand and bending from side to side. Forget these as they will do nothing for you to six pack abs ! Sit ups are also a waste of time…and all those infomercial machines are also a waste of time when it comes to

The reason why they don’t work is that they don’t work the ineffectively!  And no matter how long and how hard you use these machines you still wont get

First know that love handles cannot be gotten rid of my exercise alone, love handles are the results of the deposition of extra fat around the midsection. (This is common in men, whereas women tend to have extra fat deposited in the hips and thighs.)  To lose fat around the waist and to get six pack abs you need to burn more calories!

This ; you need to burn more calories than you consume to get six pack abs.

A great way to do that is to engage in low intensity aerobics such as walking on a treadmill, using a stationary bike, or whatever.  All you need is just 30 minutes 2-3 times a week, every day is even better!

Yes I know the above way is often long and painful- and that is why I designed my own version of a 10 minute high intensity aerobic program in ! It works faster and takes only 10 minutes 2-3 times a week!

The next step is to build your No matter how lean you might be, if you don’t tone up your abs, it won’t show up as a set of

The best way to hit the abs and get six pack abs is by using crunches!

The next step to looking good is to

The other thing you have to get the appearance of a small waist is to build your upper body!

A wider midsection can be masked by a having a wider upper body. While you are whittling down your midsection and trying to get six pack abs, it can only help to add a little more size to your upper body and create more of the vaunted “V shape” that is so desirable.  This applies to women as well, women cannot build huge big muscles like men (unless they are on drugs)  but they can add tone and extra shape to their muscles!

The single best exercise to develop the upper body and give the illusion of having a super small waist is lat pull down. You can perform this exercise in the conventional way- which means you pick a weight that gives you t10 -12 reps and do 3-4 sets but if you really want to increase efficiency and intensity try using the FastMuscles approach-at http://www.how-to-gain-weight-fast.com/

This works very well! And you have to see it to believe it!

As a summary, getting six pack abs is easy to get and so is getting rid of love handles!

Here is the gist of it all:

1 st step to get six pack abs –reduce your overall body fat through daily low intensity aerobics and tightening the underlying muscles to improve shape.

2nd step to get six pack abs Perform the recommended aerobics sessions (30 minutes a day) every day

3rd step for getting six pack abs. Do the fast abs program- it is just 4 minutes! That is all it takes! And get this: if you don’t have a lot of body fat you don’t need to perform aerobics or diet to get a six pack, just use the fast abs 4 minutes program!

Do the above and soon you’ll have a tight, hard midsection, lower overall body fat and a great V-shaped taper to your torso? Try the fast abs program for free using the link below in the author’s box

Losing A Double Chin – Several Methods Are Available

Posted by Murray Reid on November 5th, 2010 and filed under diet | Comments Off

Many people don’t know that there are three reasons they develop a double chin. Understanding the condition will help you decide how to deal with it.

People who are obese or whose jaw muscles have lost tone frequently have double chins. These types of double chins can be treated with lifestyle changes. Others inherit their double chins and still others are caused by the loss of muscle tone and skin elasticity that comes with age.

One major factor in having a double chin is your diet. Too much salt can contribute to water retention, more in women than men, making the chin area puffy and swollen. Lack of sleep and adequate exercise can also have this effect.

Another culprit in your search to lose a double chin is your posture. Good posture can hide a double chin while slumping can make it more prominent. The tilt of your head is enough to create the illusion of a double chin.

The usual cause of a double chin is being overweight. If the rest of your body is normal, you may need to start a regime of facial exercises to tone your jaw muscles. A fitness routine to burn calories will also help, as well as improve your overall health. Many people benefit from specific facial exercises that target the chin area, most of which can be done anywhere.

Most of us can get rid of a double chin by changing our eating habits if the chin is the only place we have extra fat. Cutting down on portions and adding more fruits and vegetables is an easy way to reduce fat cells. There is even a diet that targets “face fitness” to get rid of facial fat.

Chin wraps are a popular way to tame a double chin by helping to tighten the skin; they are safe and generally harmless unless you’re allergic to the material. You last resort should be surgery although there is a safer, non-invasive new procedure involving lasers that can reduce or eliminate your double chin.

Many people aren’t aware of all the options available to get rid of a double chin but chances are, one of them will work for you. If not, there is the last resort of surgical intervention. You don’t have to live with a double chin with all the choices you have to pick from.

Can You Really Lose Weight Eating Low Carb Foods?

Posted by Kathy Davis on August 18th, 2010 and filed under diet | Comments Off

It is no surprise that low carb diets are becoming extremely popular. There is considerable scientific evidence that these diets are effective not only in weight loss, but in developing a healthy lifestyle. There are many low carb foods that are ideal for these diet plans, and many reasons that they are effective.

The benefits of taking a more intelligent approach to carbohydrate consumption are numerous. For instance, carb control leads to efficient blood-glucose control. It also offers improved insulin sensitivity, as well as improved cholesterol levels and lower triglycerides. There are obviously many reasons to begin exploring this beneficial lifestyle change.

If your goal is weight loss, it is important to point out that this diet, in conjunction with other lifestyle changes, can increase the pace at which you reach your goals. Gradually developing your muscles through resistance training, combined with several cardiovascular workouts every week, will bring results much faster.

It is important that you make an effort to consume completely unprocessed, low carb foods whenever possible. This means eating whole, natural foods and not food products, which usually contain considerable amounts of salt, fat, and starch. These processed carbs should be avoided. Seek foods that are fresh, and which have not been altered in any way.

It is important that you develop a working knowledge of what foods contain good carbs, and which ones offer only bad carbs. Most experts agree that completely eliminating carbohydrates from the diet isn’t a good idea. Instead, learn which sources of carbohydrates are good for you. These include fresh whole grains, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Carbs you should avoid are found in bread and pastries, as well as pasta and soda.

Although you may feel that the low carb diet will severely limit that number of foods you can eat, there are actually numerous foods that are both healthy and tasty. Leafy, green vegetables like lettuce and spinach are fine. Also, most fruits are also advised, including apples, bananas, and most others. Fish and lean meats are fine in moderation as well. Also, avoid sodas in favor of water, green tea, and coffee.

Low carb foods are an effective way of losing weight and improving your overall health. Understand that there is no need to completely eliminate carbs from the diet. Instead, opt for healthy sources instead of processed ones. There are many benefits to this lifestyle, so making this commitment to your health is a great decision.

Lose Belly Fat – 4 Tips to Get Ripped Abs Without Sit Ups and Crunches

Posted by admin on July 23rd, 2010 and filed under ripped abs | Comments Off

Do you spend hours doing crunches or sit ups and yet, you are not getting ripped or six pack abs? Chances are you’ve been doing it all wrong!

It’s a common mistake in most people who want visible abs to do abdominal exercise only. Sure, you develop abdominal muscle but it’s only hidden under a layer of fat. In fact, you may find your ab getting bigger as a result of the increased muscle mass.

If you want visible abs, your focus should be on reducing excess body fat.

Low body fat = ripped abs

You achieve low body fat by burning more calories than you consume.

Here are 4 tips for losing belly fat effectively and permanently.

1. Interval training

Research has shown that interval training is more superior to slow, steady cardio for fat loss. Your metabolism remains elevated post workout, thus resulting in the after burn effect. Effectively, you continue to burn calories even after an interval workout but not after a long, steady cardio workout.

Also, if you don’t have long hours to spare in the gym, interval workouts enable you to achieve the most fat loss in the least amount of time. Some examples of interval workouts are wind sprints, hill sprints, swimming sprints and speed rope jumping. You can also do intervals on a treadmill, stationary bicycle, stairclimber, rower and elliptical machines.

2. Nutrition

Proper nutrition is the key to fat loss. No matter how much or hard you train, you’ll never get visible abs if you live on crisps, sodas, fast food, cookies and other crap. Don’t fall for any of the low carb, low fat, high protein and other fad diets. Instead, eat a healthy and well balanced diet that includes various food groups – carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals.

Eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep your energy levels stable. Choose wholesome, natural foods, preferably organic, and avoid processed foods. Avoid refined and simple carbs that contain white flour and white sugar. Your main sources of carbohydrates are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Include a source of high quality, lean protein with every meal. There are several benefits to consuming lean protein. Your body burns more calories from digesting protein than carbs or fats. Protein keeps hunger at bay and gives you a feeling of satiety. It is also necessary for building lean muscle that controls your metabolism and burns calories.

Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and to speed up fat loss.

Consume healthy fats from avocado, flax seed (or flax oil), nuts, seeds, fish (or fish oil), etc. Essential fatty acids help to regulate appetite and burn fat.

3. Resistance training

Resistance training not only sculpts your body but is important for building muscles. Like interval training, it raises your post workout metabolism so your body continues to burn calories even when you are doing nothing.

Aim for low rep resistance training, i.e. 8 reps per exercise, as it has been shown to boost metabolism after the workout.

If your goal is to burn fat, don’t isolate your body parts by training certain muscle groups using single-joint movements. Isolation exercises such as leg extension, bicep curl and tricep kickback burn little body fat. Shift your focus from single-joint to multi-joint muscle movements such as squats, lunges, split squats, pushups, chinups, rows, step ups and deadlifts. These are full body movements that work many muscles at one time, burn more calories during each workout and increase your metabolism post workout.

4. Reduce stress

Stress has been associated with belly fat. In stressful situations, your body releases a stress hormone called cortisol. Excess cortisol production leads to build up of belly fat. A fat belly is more than ugly looking. Accumulated fat in the abdomen increases your risk of developing high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

Be aware of your stress level and learn to manage it through yoga, meditation, qi gong, tai chi and other stress reduction techniques. The truth is there’s no quick fix for losing belly fat. Forget about ab gadgets, diets or magic pills that promise to give you lean abs. They are nothing but scams.

The good news is that you can attain a set of lean or six pack abs through a healthy diet plan and effective training program that promote fat loss.

Here’s the REAL truth on getting a flat belly and lean sexy abs >> Click here now >>

Do you want leaner trimmer and sexier abs you can be proud to show off? Great because this article is aimed at uncovering the real secret to how you can loose belly fat. Contrary to popular belief doing hundreds of crunches a day will not burn excess stomach fat!

Here’s how to lose belly fat:

Chances are that your abdomen muscles are hidden underneath a layer of excess belly fat! Doing crunches will simply only ‘tone’ your abdomen muscles but will not burn off the excess stomach fat.

You need to target this excess belly fat and the best way to do it is through a lower calorie intake. I’m not talking about starving yourself on the contrary I am recommending that you eat frequently but the trick lies in the size of the portions and the types of foods. Eating too much of anything will make you gain weight and once we reach a certain age well we just can’t stop putting on the weight….NOT ANYMORE!

Here are the best belly busters foods that you need to eat daily:

Lean protein this includes: lean red meat poultry (NO SKIN NO FAT) and LOW-FAT dairy product.
Green vegetables especially these veg: broccoli spinach asparagus brussell sprouts and cauliflower.
Finally eat the right type of carbs – simple carbohydrates such as sugary foods and white bread is absolutely the main common denominator for people with excess stomach fat. Change to complex carbohydrates especially the whole-grain kind and that includes: whole grain bread whole-grain pasta and whole-grain rice. Avoid any sugary foods if you can if not reduce this intake!

So the next time you prepare your meal aim to have the following: a large of portion of vegetables a smaller portion of carbs and a smaller portion of lean protein. For your snacks have at hand plenty of fruit low-fat yogurts and whole-grain type snacks. Aim for 5 – 6 small meals a day and drink plenty and plenty of water.

So that takes care of your calorie shifting diet and finally the last thing you need to do to loose belly fat is proper exercising. I know the dreaded words EXERCISE. But a little every day will go a long way. Doing an overall body exercise is more effective for losing excess stomach fat than just doing crunches. Aim for a short cardio intensive routine such as brisk walking jumping rope cycling and swimming. You don’t have to spend hours in the gym to lose belly fat 20 -30 mins a day of either of the above training programs will produce better overall results.
